WhatsApp MOD focused on privacy issues
Modified versions of WhatsApp, commonly known as MODs, add different functions to our favorite instant messaging and chat app. Some are more focused on visual aspects, adding new themes and text fonts, but others such as WhatsApp Begal are aimed at providing us with greater control over our privacy.
Specific menu for privacy functions on BEWhatsApp
If you access the app's configuration menu, you can see a section specially dedicated to privacy matters. The latter give us the possibility to improve our control over how our contacts receive our messages and can view our activity. This obviously doesn't affect how WhatsApp controls your activity on the application. But these are some of its most noteworthy features:
- Possibility to hide our online status (without giving up on seeing if our contacts are connected or not).
- Possibility to hide our last seen time (without giving up on seeing that info about our contacts).
- Possibility to disable the blue check and enable it only when we answer a message.
- Anti-revoke function to view deleted messages.
- Possibility to download statuses.
It has been developed upon the original WhatsApp, therefore, they both look alike although there are a few design modifications with softer and more rounded lines on the chat screen.
You obviously won't be able to find it on Google Play, therefore, you'll have to download it from Malavida if you want to use it on your Android.
Requirements and additional information:
- The installation of the app by means of the APK file requires the activation of the "Unknown sources" option within Settings>Applications.
